Flautist • Producer • Musical Director
Yoav Feinberg is a professional jazz flautist, producer, musical director and music-tech specialist based in New York City.
A recipient of prestigious excellence grants from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and The Israeli Conservatory,
he started his career in Tel Aviv, playing in the Israeli music scene’s top jazz clubs.
Inspired by greats like Sonny Rollins and Miles Davis, Yoav moved to NYC in 2016
after receiving a scholarship to study at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music,
where he studied with teachers such as Hal Galper, Robert Sadin, Dave Douglas, Sam Yahel
and other incredible musicians.
In 2018, he was the jazz musical director of the Tefen Music Festival, an independent music festival in Israel. In 2019, he had the privilege to play at the Bern International Jazz Festival and to perform in Japan with Tokyo-based guitarist Shun Ino.
Yoav continues to perform, create, and design musical experiences in New York with great passion and dedication.
MUSIC-TECH & PRODUCTION
Yoav is a proud member of the music team at Weav Music, a music-tech startup that has developed and conceptualized the adaptive record format - a record that can change tempo, intensity, genre, and always sound great! Working as an Adaptive Music Structural Designer, he specializes in music R&D, production of adaptive tracks using Weav's unique technology, and communications with major labels and external production teams.
Yoav has also worked as an intern at New York Public Radio. He produced interviews with AJ Lambert and Jim James and worked as an assistant producer on episodes of Young Artists Showcase. Furthermore, he participated in live productions at Carnegie Hall and NYPR's The Greene Space.
