Yoav Feinberg is a professional jazz flautist, producer, and music-tech expert.
A recipient of prestigious excellence grants from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and The Israeli Conservatory,
he started his career in Tel Aviv, playing in the Israeli music scene’s top jazz clubs.
Inspired by greats like Sonny Rollins and Miles Davis, Yoav moved to New York in 2016
after receiving a scholarship to study at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music,
where he studied with teachers such as Hal Galper, Robert Sadin, Dave Douglas, Sam Yahel
and other incredible musicians.
In 2018, he was the jazz musical director of the Tefen Music Festival, an independent music festival in Israel. In 2019, he's had the privilege to perform at the Bern International Jazz Festival and to play shows in Japan with Tokyo-based guitarist Shun Ino.
Yoav performs, creates, and designs musical experiences with great passion and dedication.
MUSIC-TECH & PRODUCTION
Yoav works as Music Relations Manager at Weav Music, a music-tech startup that has developed and conceptualised the adaptive record format - a record that can change tempo and arranagement in real time. He specialises in communications with partners in the music and tech industries, music R&D, and production of adaptive songs using Weav's unique technology.
Yoav has also worked as an intern at New York Public Radio. He produced interviews with AJ Lambert and Jim James and worked as an assistant producer on episodes of Young Artists Showcase. Furthermore, he participated in live productions at Carnegie Hall and NYPR's The Greene Space.
